Sarah Palin at Top of Game

Click for the Story

This should not surprise anyone. I believe anyone who underestimates Sarah’s reach, power, appeal and ability to bring people into her bandwagon… Well, you do so at your peril.

Alaska is littered with the bodies of politicians that she put out of commission. I’m sorry to say that many of the potential Republican candidates for 2012 thus far all fall into the same category.

It all comes down to Iowa and South Carolina in the primaries in 2012.

Assume Romney (or maybe Pawlenty) will win New Hampshire. If Palin wins Iowa and South Carolina and then manages to get a good showing in Florida, I think she’ll get the nomination.

Question for everyone now is whether Obama will be a weak candidate or not.

Obama to end social engineering in housing

Hot Air » Obama to target CRA, social engineering in housing/lending market.

This would be interesting, if it actually happened.  I’ll write more later on about the dumb things the government does in the name of juicing up home ownership…

But, ponder this… If instead of 72% of households owning a home, the percentage were closer to 60% or 65%, would we be in the financial mess we are in??

Fox News and MSNBC talent together…

Here’s the question of the day…

If you could put the best of talent from MSNBC and Fox News together on another channel, who would you pair up for 3 separate shows, each show having two hosts?

My picks?  I’d love to see O’Reilly and Olbermann on one show… Then Chris Matthews and Sean Hannity on another show.  My last one would be Glenn Beck and Rachel Maddow

What would happen? Would the earth implode?  What say you?

Video – Bobby Jindal rallies Louisianans

Hot Air » Excellent: Jindal rallies Louisianans to oppose the feds’ drilling moratorium.

This is great stuff. I highly recommend watching it. I’ve long believed he was destined for higher office.  His rallying of the citizens of this downtrodden state is quite inspiring.

Here’s something to keep in mind… Polling seems to indicate that 27-29 Governor’s races could trend Republican.  I’ll post more on that later tonight. Combine that with a close to deadlocked US Senate and a US House in Republican hands, come November… Obama’s next 2 years could get quite difficult.  Also, the last time we had a sea change in governors, state legislatures and US House/Senate all at ONE time was in the 1880s.

I mention this because Jindal is in the crop of rising stars for the Republicans and we need to do all we can to support guys like him.  What he’s done to reverse decades of malaise in Louisiana is absolutely remarkable.

Twitter threads today – Sherrod

I recommend watching the Twitter threads today on politics. “Sherrod” is a good search to find out what others are saying about the Shirley Sherrod mess and its impact on the President.
